(I’m not posting this less to correct the timeline portrayed in Bohemian Rhapsody, which I mostly really enjoyed, than simply to share a beautiful story that shines light on who Freddie actually was, up to the very end.)
Singer, songwriter, rock star, cat lover, and fashion icon Freddie Mercury was born on this day in 1946.
Fun fact: the vest in the last picture is one-of-a-kind. It was hand-painted by Mercury’s friend Donald McKenzie, and the cats on it are Mercury’s actual cats.
